About the EUAN Diversity & Inclusion Awards
The EU Agencies Network (EUAN) Diversity & Inclusion Awards aim to:
- Recognise the efforts of EU Agencies and Joint Undertakings in promoting inclusive and diverse working environments
- Raise awareness of diversity and inclusion practices within the EU administration and beyond
- Highlight and share effective approaches that can serve as models for other organisations
- Contribute to a more equitable and representative European public sector
Why it matters
The EUAN Diversity & Inclusion Awards offer a platform for EU Agencies and Joint Undertakings to showcase initiatives that foster inclusive, respectful and representative workplaces. This initiative supports the EUAN’s broader commitment to administrative excellence and inclusive governance.
For the 2025 edition, submissions are invited in two categories:
- Outstanding Internal Initiative – actions directed at staff and internal stakeholders
- Outstanding External Initiative – actions targeting external audiences or the wider public
In addition to the two main Awards, the jury may grant Certificates of Excellence to initiatives demonstrating particularly strong features.
The winners will be announced, and the Awards Ceremony will be held in Brussels on 23 October 2025, during the EUAN’s annual plenary meetings.
Our diversity is our strength
EU Agencies and Joint Undertakings (JUs) are applying diversity and inclusion ethics in their work.
EU Agencies ensure equal opportunities and are committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment. They stand against any discrimination based on race, colour, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnic origin.
In their recruitment process, Agencies and JUs do not make any distinction on grounds of age, race, political, philosophical or religious conviction, sex or sexual orientation, disabilities, marital status or family situation.
Agencies and JUs share information and good practices with one another and define a common position on topics of common interest related to diversity and inclusion.
Diversity Charter
The EU Agencies Network (EUAN) is facilitating this cooperation with its Working Group on Diversity and Inclusion, which laid out the principles of diversity and inclusion in an EUAN Charter on Diversity and Inclusion.
The Charter is a commitment in favour of diversity and inclusion among the EUAN, whose staff members must benefit from equal treatment and opportunities, irrespective of any ground such as sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation.
